Lila Feldman Lila Feldman 9 months ago I am not a Catholic. And yet, I have always felt that I am, at my core, a Catholic. 973 Apple Sabiduria Apple Sabiduria 6 months ago "The Passion of the Christ" -Mel Gibson. I always watched it every holy week. It never failed me to blown my mind. It shows how Jesus sacrifice his life for people's salvation. 150 ItsDaKoolaidDude ItsDaKoolaidDude 8 months ago Despite this isn't strictly Catholic, I recommend Dreamwork's Prince of Egypt. Its by far the best animated religious film i've ever seen. 78 mikami42 mikami42 4 weeks ago 1. Doubt 2. The Way 3. Of Gods and men 4. Calvary 5. It makes me realize that faith should be something to use to love, and not destroy. 25 Venantius Kumar Venantius Kumar 8 months ago Two movies that directed my faith was "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" and "The Fourth wise Men". 36 TheKielbasaKid TheKielbasaKid 8 months ago One of my favorites is: "I Confess". It's the story of a priest who hears a murderer's confession. The priest knows who the murderer is but is bound by the seal of confession to say nothing, even as circumstantial evidence implicates the priest himself as the murderer. An underappreciated classic from Alfred Hitchcock. 32 Rosario Navarro Rosario Navarro 8 months ago "Silence" is an excellent movie. 4 Christine Chirillo Christine Chirillo 7 months ago I’m not Catholic but Everyone must See JESUS OF NAZARETH ‼️🌹🙏❤️ Best movie ever made 43 rufflesal rufflesal 8 months ago "The Miracle of Fatima" has stuck in my mind since I was a kid in grade 4. I'm now 48. 20 Manuel Mântua Lopes Manuel Mântua Lopes 9 months ago Favorite Catholic movie: The Passion of the Christ. 586 Ulyss Grant Ulyss Grant 8 months ago For me, the greatest Catholic film is Robert Bolt's great, " A Man for All Seasons." Paul Scofield is brilliant as St. Thomas More, who was beheaded by King Henry VIII. More was the Lord Chancellor of England. More would not agree with Henry's wanting a divorce from Queen Catherine of Aragon. She was not successful in giving him a male heir. St. Thomas More was what I call the " first modern martyr." He did not rush into the den of the lion with great bravery and gusto, asking to be martyred for his belief in Christ. No, More used the labyrinth of his brilliant legal mind to save himself. He went down every maze he could find, but found none which would save him. Henry not only admired Thomas, but he needed More's approval to let him off the hook of a legal marriage.More had at first a large and beautiful cell in the Tower of London, but gradually it became more physically and emotionally challenging. They finally took his books. As he was led to the block he said, " I die the king's good servant, but God's first." He was known for his sense of humor, for being a joyful man. As he was about to kneel, he asked the executioner if he could spare his beard, for it had never offended anyone, so he moved it away from the axe. He had said to his family who were visiting him in his cell for the last time, "Pray for me as I for thee, that we may meet merrily in Heaven." 48 Caedmon Jones Caedmon Jones 8 months ago The Scarlet and the Black is definitely one of my top favorite Catholic movies. 54 Gabriel Chong Gabriel Chong 8 months ago The Sound of Music happens to be my favorites Catholic movie of all times....
