Taiwan states that China’s recent military exercises within its air defense buffer zone were the most significant threat to its security. In this video we answer the following: 1) Will China invade Taiwan? 2) Can/will the US defend Taiwan risking a major armed conflict with China? 3) Could defending Taiwan lead to a wider war beyond the Taiwan Strait? One thing is sure: Independent Taiwan is a political stain on the legitimacy of the Chinese Communist Party, although the ruling government in Beijing has never exercised full authority over the island. They're getting politically and militarily stronger and the U.S. is losing global influence. The world is getting tired of their interference in the affairs of other countries. Taiwan isn't going to cut off its nose to spite its face, nor will China. They both stand to benefit long term by resolving their differences. 8 barfff barfff 2 hours ago The US only sell second-rated weapons 5 weitinglouis Louis weitinglouis Louis 2 hours ago (edited) Not invade but be unified. My view. When and how to unify Taiwan is decided by the US strategic decision and movements. If the US government is keeping on playing Taiwan as a geopolitical chip against PROChina, then yes, it will happen. Regarding to how to unify either by force or peace will be up to the behaviour of Taiwanese’ government. From the geopolitical view, when the US government recognised PROChina, there was no ROChina, Taiwan is only a separate island, not part of China. 5 Johnnie Walker Johnnie Walker 1 hour ago I wouldn't hold my breath. Having said that, Taiwan is not separating either. Auster Lo Auster Lo 1 hour ago Until the 1980's, the ROC Taiwan Government followed its Constitution (Chapter 1 Article 4) and kept on "invading" Mainland China almost daily. Even today's Taiwan's ADIZ Air Defense Identification Zone does cover 3 provinces of Mainland China (Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangxi). It is impossible to tell who is invading who - or if "invasion" is the right word in this complex situation.
