But it happened, and on December 1, 2018, when she got off the plane in Vancouver, she was arrested by Canadian police. Meng's extradition trial is now in its second phase. On December 9, Vancouver local time, Nicole Goodman was questioned, as the ninth witness in the case, and her testimony indicated that the Canada Border Services Agency illegally leaked Meng's information to the FBI. The next day, on the morning of Dec. 10 local time in Vancouver, during cross-examination in Meng's extradition case, the judge was informed that Goodman had violated a court order by making contact with the Canadian Department of Justice during her testimony on the previous day. The judge decided to suspend the hearing to address the matter, and the hearing then resumed about an hour later. Goodman admitted that she delivered incomplete testimony and had contacted Canadian Justice Department personnel during the testimony.
