Recently China and Indonesia signed two memorandums of understanding (MOUs), one on maritime cooperation and the other on a mechanism for high-level dialogue and cooperation. In this video, we answer the following:
1) How significant are China-Indonesia talks?
2) Is Indonesia ditching the US by making bold plans with China?
3) What is China’s strategic objective?
4) Is this a win-win relationship for both China and Indonesia?
One thing is sure: China expressed its willingness to push for bilateral relations with Indonesia in a comprehensive and high-level direction.

Why is it that China doing business with Indonesia or signing any contracts should be mentioned as an "opportunistic move" or swooped in when US was doing lip service? Why must it be seen through a spectacle of a zero sum game and a "either they or us" gameplay? We Asians are simple, we trade, we make friends, we help one another." And it is this trust that we have with human beings that resulted in the colonialism of the Western powers in Asia for the past 300 years. Whether the west like it or not, we Asians have been trading for thousands of years. In China's prime, during which it was the lone superpower, they didn't invade other countries, even the then world's largest naval fleet was led by Admiral Cheng He, a well known Muslim. I think Western people should understand that even if you see China as an enemy or an adversary, that's not how China sees you. And Indonesia isn't even choosing sides, just basic trade. The idea that Indonesia's choice is the result of America's missteps, is as if Indonesia's fate was that of whether US did the right move or not is an utter disrespect on Indonesia's own wisdom and choice. When will Western people realise that whether or not USA made the right moves, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Philippines etc ... Are all friends? Go deal with the poor on the streets of America and stop using GDP per capita to lie to the poor in USA that they reside in a high income nation when they're homeless. You can send as many reporters to Asia to highlight the poor and slumps but you know what the slums in Brazil, India have that the homeless in California doesn't? The basic human rights to erect a home and have a shelter. Try talking environmental issues with the homeless in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, New York etc.

US’s failure on Indonesia is no different to Australia’s failure on Indonesia. Both Anglo countries have always had that arrogance and racial discriminatory attitudes to these non-White countries, let alone seeing Indonesia more as an enemy than a neighbour one must get along with. And when it comes to times that matters, Australia doesn’t really care about the views and wellbeing of Indonesia. And now with US’s ‘war’ on China and forcing countries to choose sides, of course Indonesia is not going to comply but to get close to the major power that’s closest to it. NZ is trying to stay neutral but Australia will find itself to be surrounded by China centric countries amongst its neighbours. As mighty as is US’s navy around the world, it dares not to start any hot war with China, so it’s effectively useless.

I hope Asia would rise, Asian would rise. Westerners should respect by heart, not treating it as a place for easy girls and king's life.

Not a single ASEAN country has echoed the U.S. State Department’s claim that China is committing “genocide” against Muslims in Xinjiang. Not one Southeast Asian country—not even Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim country considers China an ideological foe.

Indonesia is the only real country in the whole of ASEAN that is worth mentioning. In geopolitics one can change friends but have to live with neighbours. China is Indonesia’s neighbour while USA is no ones friend. And Indonesia should also not forget the role that USA played in East Timor. Muslims have to coexist with the Buddhists in Asia anyway and Indonesia made the right choice.

The mighty Roman Empire never once had a military victory against their main adversary the Eastern Parthian Empire!
Everytime they went up against the Parthian military in battle they were routed. Several Roman Emperor's were both killed, captured, and enslaved by victorious Parthian Emperor's.
America is very much akin to the Roman Empire with a similar social, economic and military system founded on continuos war, conquest and the confiscation of the subdued nation's natural resources.
Both China and Russia now stand in the way of America's continuing expansion in both the Middle East, and Pacific area's.
And just like the Roman Empire it will both fail and fall, not because of external forces but from within, by it's own political and social implosion.

Indonesia’s population is over 300 million almost similar as USA’s. So Australia don’t push China to go to war. Be careful what you wish for. Remember Timor got divided into east west not long ago.
