Meng Wanzhou is the first daughter of Ren Zhengfei, Hua Wei's founder, and his ex-wife. She bears the surname of her mother, Meng Jun, and that is why her name is Meng Wanzhou, not Ren Wanzhou.
When she was arrested, she was flying to Mexico via Vancouver Internation Airport, for a meeting held in Argentina. Her destination was not Canada, but she was arrested there, after three hours of scrutiny by the CBSA, Canada's Border Service Agency. CBSA pretended to perform a normal entry check to get her personal information at the request of the FBI. and CBSA officials did not inform her that a warrant had been issued to arrest her.
It was later disclosed that Meng had just finished surgery on her neck not long before, and had been suffering from high blood pressure when being scrutinized.
According to reports from Canada's local press agencies, Trudeau's government had been informed in advance several days before her stopover in Canada.
The international warrant to arrest Meng Wanzhou was issued on the 22nd of August, 2018, and in three months, between the date when the warrant was issued in the US and her arrest in Canada, she visited or passed by a lot of other countries like Britain, Ireland, France and Japan, to name a few only. None of those countries, which are also the US allies with mutual extradition obligations with the United States, took any actions against her.
China's diplomat, Lu Kang, told the press that the US asked more than ten countries to arrest Meng, only Canada arrested her, unfortunately.

Why keep saying arrested? Call it as what it is. Kidnapped say kidnapped.

HSBC needing a get out of jail free card, Canada wanted to be on the US's good boy list during a new NFTA trade negotiation and US must stop China's 5g progress. One stone 3 birds.

with ALL the evidence presented in court it is crystal clear that this is a political trap set up by the US and assisted by the Trudeau administration to execute the US dirty job. If Canada claim that it is a country that abide by the Rule of Law, they must release Meng Wanzhou immediately to redeem their moral integrity.

HSBC and FBI are doing this often. It is the trap they use for the target often. It sounds like HSBC is never been charged because they work with the FBI.

If what you reported is truth, then why is taking the judges so long to throw out the extradition proceeding. Also Ms. Meng does not appear to have violated any Canadian law. It appears that it is the Trudeau govt.who, acting as stooges ofTrump Administration, has committed the unlawful arrest.Trudeau said he had tried very hard to bring back the two Canadian diplomats held in China. What exactly has he done. All his words are lies and heartless.

Thanks for the update. I am following her case with deep interests especially now the court hearings have unraveled her rights were abused by CBSA and RCMP. Apparently the rule of law did not apply in her situation so I pray the judge will rule in her favor and set her free and that will allow the 2 Michaels to return home.
I observed in one of the videos that on the day she was arrested, the top leaders including Xi Jin Ping were gathered in a large room. I wondered whether Xi Jin Ping already had knowledge of her impending arrest? if not, then you can imagine what cruel hypocrisy Donald Trump and Justin Trudeau had when they faced him across the table. Very sad indeed.

Two key and related things also happened on the night Meng was arrested. The person Meng was going to meet in Argentina, Professor Zhang Shoucheng (a leading microchip brain of China) fell to his death from a building in the US, allegedly a suicide. Secondly, a fire broke out destroying Hollands ASML leading semiconductor equipment factory. These two happenings set back Chinas semiconductor manufacturing industry and Intel two years and whilst Intel now have the latest manufacturing equipment, ASML under sanctions can not sell the same to Chinas SMIC. All three occurrences are widely reported in the Western media but never together as connected.

Law and Order are used so that the guilty got away while the innocent got arrested. Shameless that Trudeau claimed judicial independence and U.S. used law and order indiscriminately to take down competitors.
