Affected by the Covid-19 pandemics, the throughput of major airports around the world declined significantly in 2020, and the same is true with Baiyun Airport. In 2019, its throughput was 73.4 million, ranking number eleven in the world, but as other airports suffered more severely from the pandemic, Baiyun Airport became the busiest airport in the world.
