Nothing wrong with not being democratic, not everyone needs democracy.

China has taken 800 million people out of poverty and have become the 2nd largest economy in the world WITHOUT having to invade half the globe.

George, I am one of the Chinese and I want to say here that most Chinese are very happy with the current status as well as our leaders. Thanks so much for inviting different experts to your show and sharing a lot of valuable information. Not like the U.S.and Australia, they just demonize China.

People who vomit the word democracy every chance they get, like as though it's the answer to everything, are deluded and need a serious reality check.

They didn't mention Xi's Vision: Shared Future for Mankind 人类命运共同体. This is the spirit or the ground of the Belt and Road Initative

Firstly, I'm a Chinese.
What I want to explain is that we had suffered a hard time before 1949 so we put the development and stability at the first place.
Actually nowadays, the China communist party is more like a name, a political name.
The government to deal with all issues, plan, policy according to experience.
You can imagine how effectively it works if the people believe their government and government make benifit for people.

According to some speakers here, Chinese should just go there donating a chunk of money and leave, tell your western counterparts to do that, that's not how business works, you invest and you profit, the Africans have a very primitive mentality, business is about I provide something, you take something, I gain some, you gain some too, Africans expect all business as charity work. Some Africans are so used to handed out free stuff from charity, they become lazy, there are many cases Chinese helped them to restore their land to produce food, but a couple years later, you go back there to find out these Africans just let the land idle and became wasteland again. And even shocking too is that Chinese provided them with free seeds for planting crops to later find out they just simply ate the seeds and left the land barren. There is unfortunately no solution to fix laziness. One thing about China success is because all Chinese are very HARD WORKING people like Japanese as well but with a much bigger population of course.

The last one, the black man, seems that he doesn't understand China, much less Chinese policy, but he likes to comment on it. However, for the penultimate man, I agree with his points, that sometimes political systems are only as good as how well you can solve society's problems. As for Belt and Road initiative, I think it is a difference in statecraft, and China will continue to develop itself. However, if we want the country to have long-term stability and development, we must let the neighboring countries also develop, but how to pull the development of the neighboring countries, we need to return to China ancient philosophy: To be rich, we must build the road first, which is also China's experience. Don't you see that China has paid more attention to infrastructure construction? Such as the high-speed train network and highway network in China.
On the other hand, China doesn't like the zero-sum game, but Win-Win philosophy, because in Chinese philosophy, the Win-Win solution will go further in long vision. Therefore, it is not difficult to explain this, cause it comes from the Idea of ancient China. If you can go to China to lean the ancient Chinese Philosophy, you would think it is really common as your business.

So ? Why can’t China have its interests? So long as they don’t go blow up other people’s countries.

The main reason why China employs its citizens to carry out constructions abroad is that they can work 7 days a week for two years and hand over whatever that country needs from a football stadium to intercontinental highspeed railway. The infrastructures falling apart that the guest at 17:30 is talking about are built by the local corrupt officials and lazy workforce of that country using the cheap Chinese loans. China realized it and learned the lessons. That's why it brings its citizens to foreign infrastructure projects. Hope this clears the myth.

Thank you For finally discussing this topic! I see it as a strategy of opportunity since the U.S. is so busy trying to bomb others into submission.
