Many people particular those here in the West and the younger generation Southeast Asia have no idea how lucky the smaller countries borering China are to have a big powerful neighbor protecting them from the US. If it wasn't for China, East Asia and ASEAN would look exactly like the Middle East, countries like Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan with everything bloom up and destroyed. The US tried to do that first with Korean and than with Vietnam but China intervued and helped push back American forces from destroying those countries. People just don't understand peace and stability in the region is a top priority of the Chinese government and will defend it's neighbors against western aggression. It's also why the US later went to the Middle East and succesfully destroyed those countries because China is not there. People also need to learn about US foreign policies, it's purpose is to destroy economies all over the world by force or subversion and make countries poor and dependant on US corporations for everything. When a country is poor and dependant and you cannot manufacter your own goods and be self sufficient, you have to buy from US corporations.
